Bon Jovi are also soon to release a ‘Greatest Hits’ CD, deluxe edition package and DVD. The DVD features the band’s biggest hits in a career-spanning set of original music videos, alongside live performances of every one of these legendary tracks. The live footage includes footage from last year’s O2 Arena rooftop performance as well as an exclusive performance of storming new single ‘What Do You Got?’, not available anywhere else. Also, a live concert movie filmed during the band’s four-night sold out stand at the New Meadowlands Stadium, NJ, will be shown in various cinemas around the world this November.

Manic Street Preachers have had to cancel tonight’s Birmingham O2 Academy show due to illness.

James Dean Bradfield issued the following Statement;

‘I would like to personally apologise for the situation tonight. Nothing makes us feel worse than having to postpone a show especially since we always receive a great reaction in Birmingham. The audience there have always been loyal to us. Again sincere apologies for this.’

The show has be rescheduled for Tuesday 14th December.  All tickets will be valid for the rescheduled date.  If necessary, refunds are also available from point if purchase.

Bon Jovi have opened the competition airwaves again and are looking for signed or unsigned bands to support them at their two shows in New Zealand in December. Bon Jovi will play Wellington Westpac Stadium on Dec 4th and Auckland Vector Arena on Dec 5th.

Scouting For Girls have announced a couple of arena dates for 2011. They will play:

8th April Wembley Arena
9th April Manchester MEN Arena

Scouting For Girls’ second album entered the UK charts at no. 2 while more recently single ‘New Day’ was selected by Sony Electronics US for their 30 million dollar TV campaign for the Sony Internet TV. Roy Stride said, “We’ve headlined both Wembley Arena and MEN Arena before but having our own shows at these venues is very exciting and will be very special nights. The new Birmingham Academy is one of our favourite smaller venues. We toured there earlier in the year and the atmosphere was electric. We can’t wait to perform our biggest and best shows to date.”

Bon Jovi will be presented with the Global Icon Award at this year’s European MTV Awards in Madrid, Spain on November 7th. They will also be performing on the show. Other artists performing include Kid Rock, Linkin Park and Kings Of Leon.

Pretty Boy Floyd will embark on a six week tour of South America and Europe at the end of October. The band includes new drummer Vik Foxx of The Veronicas (ex-Enuff Z’Nuff/Vince Neil Band). There are 2 UK shows - Camden Underworld and Hard Rock Hell festival at Pontins in Prestatyn, Wales.

Officially gutted! The Friday Night Boys have announced they have split up. This comes after rumours that they were splitting up. The rumours it seems were true. A blog from Andrew Goldstein is on the Fueled By Ramen tumblr page. Andrew writes, ‘Chris will be releasing solo material that you all should check out. Mike is releasing a project called Time Travel, and the first show is November 2nd at the Ottobar. Robby will be performing with him as well as working in a congressman’s office and playing music in other capacities. I currently do not have plans of releasing a solo project or playing in a band anytime soon, however, I am writing and producing for other artists and bands.’

Gotthard frontman Steve Lee was killed yesterday in USA while on a motorcycle trip. Steve and the group of bikers that he was with had stopped at the side of the road to put on rain gear as it had started to rain. The trailer of a passing truck skidded into some of the motorbikes and one hit Steve. He was unable to be resuscitated and died shortly after. Steve was 48 years old.

Rival Schools play London Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen on November 16th. The show coincides with new single ‘Shot After Shot’ which is released on November 14th. Tix for the London show go on sale this Friday from www.aloud.com
